The Loopcloud community has access to four-million individual samples. We probably don’t need to tell you; that’s a lot of options to run through when it comes to producing your tracks. That’s why Loopcloud has developed Collections, our new feature that quite simply helps you find your sounds, faster.

Collections are available immediately to all Loopcloud subscribers, and whether you’re deconstructing disco or defining the future of drum & bass, Collections is certain to make your workflow more fun, accessible, and inspirational.  Here’s a roundup of what you can expect from Collections.

Organise Your Sounds

Building a track often takes you in unexpected directions. You want to ensure that you can grab any sound, any time. With Collections, you can easily catalogue your favourite sounds for specific projects, grouping them by instrument, genre or just their general vibe. It’s never been easier to mix and match samples with speed and ease.

Share With Loopcloud’s Community

Ever wondered where your favourite producers find their inspiration? Want to share some of your own secret weapon samples? Once you’ve started collecting sounds, you can choose to either share your discoveries with the Loopcloud community or keep them private. When discovering a collection that inspires you, just use the ‘like’ function and have exciting new musical possibilities just a click away from your workflow.

Find Inspiration

Loopcloud has reached out to producers, artists, labels, DJs and our partner brands to help curate cutting-edge sounds that can be shared with our whole global community. Keep your eyes and ears on Collections over the coming months, and expect fresh finds from some of the most exciting figures in electronic music.

What happens to my favourites?

All of the sounds that you favourited before upgrading will be migrated to a ‘Favourites’ collection at the top of your collections sidebar - pictured below. This will include your local favourites (favourite sounds that you’ve imported yourself) and favourites from your Loopmasters and Loopcloud purchases.

Is there a limit on how many sounds I can add to a Collection?

There is a limit of 10,000 items that you can add to a collection.

What happens if I hit the Collections item limit?

If you hit the item limit for a collection, you will need to remove some of the sounds already in the collection or create a new collection to start adding new sounds. If you have more than 10,000 favourites before upgrading, these will be migrated to your Favourites collection, but you will need to either remove some items from your favourites or create a new Favourites collection in order to add more.
