Veteran drummer Mark Fletcher (his band, Fletch's Brew, regularly plays Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in Soho) is back, with nine folders of lively jazz drums at different tempos from 90 to 180bpm. There's quite a lot of variety in the patterns, with swinging cymbals, intricate brush work, and vibrant tom grooves that could work in a range of genres. Fletcher's playing style is littered with fills, both subtle and not so subtle, but there are also a few additional fill and ending files to round things off, plus variations on the beat allowing you to build longer arrangements. As a bonus, there are also sampler instruments for each bpm that include a handful of beat chops for beat juggling or supplementing an existing drum pattern. The only negative is that some of the cymbal loops are a little too loud relative to the rest of the pack.
