About Pressure Cooker Studios

Pressure Cooker Studios is an award-winning music and audio studio based in Cape Town, South Africa. Through our work across film, television, advertising and games, we have been developing what we call the Future Cinematic Sound. By drawing on Africa’s deep musical roots and combining them with contemporary production techniques, we are evolving the traditional Western cinematic palette with new textures, rhythms, instruments and voices from our continent.

These sample packs come directly from the sounds we have been building and recording for over a decade. Some collections focus on authentic recordings from instruments and performances captured in their pure form, while others are more designed, pushing those recordings into entirely new territories. Created to work across multiple genres, with a strong focus on fast-growing contemporary styles like Amapiano and Afrobeats, these collections give producers immediate access to immersive, culturally rich material, recorded to the highest professional standard.
