5Pin Media reboots their acclaimed MIDI Focus Series kicking off with Minimal House Beats.
Based on current demand for past MIDI Focus titles and the idea of providing producers with increased flexibility and creative options it was decided to bring this iconic series back.
Designed for both producers and performers alike, the sounds and MIDI are arranged across 15 Drum Kits with 12 MIDI patterns and 16 one-shot samples per kit, all clearly labelled for quick and easy access. Kits are ready for laying down as either a full production backing track or to use as a live performance mix tool. Mapping is as close to the GM Drum Standard as possible (note these are electronic sounds so there is a degree of “sounds like” applied but if you use the MIDI to trigger a standard GM kit it will sound coherent). The advantage of standardised mapping is any MIDI file can be used to play any kit, opening up a universe of possibilities.
Combining expressive MIDI to trigger samples provides a greater level of playback control especially through the use of envelope triggering rather than simple One-Shot triggering. MIDI note length controls the duration of sample playback for a more defined groove and less “spill” especially on percussion elements such as HiHats. The kits are available ready to go as Ableton Live 12 Drum Rack Projects but clear instructions are provided in the “Info” folder for quick and easy sample mapping in any software or hardware sampler/drum machine of your choice.
With 16 premium samples per kit it is easy to create your own patterns and fills depending on your project needs without worrying whether the sounds will work together.
In addition to the 15 Drum Kits there are 148 broken down Drum loops, 20 Bass loops, 20 Synth loops, 20 Pad loops, 20 Texture loops and 20 Bass MIDI Files.
