Seven volumes of the most authentic live horn loops available for music production — all in one bundle.
Dread Hornz takes its inspiration from the classic 70s horn-driven reggae recordings of Jamaica. Think of The Abyssinians' haunting horns on Satta Massagana, Burning Spear's majestic intensity, and Marley's anthemic horn stabs that punctuated his lyrics. The slightly bent notes, the lagged playing style, the beautiful imperfections, the plaintive, hypnotic melancholy — that is the essence of Dread Hornz.
Seven volumes. 26.6GB. 8,466 loops and 948 one-shots covering the full spectrum of horn production across reggae, dub, ska, steppers, jungle, dancehall, hip hop, and beyond.
Every volume includes the full horn section — Trumpet, Tenor Sax and Trombone — recorded dry and in multiple FX versions for maximum flexibility:
Each volume contains multiple song folders with complete horn lines, individual instrument stems, riffs, stabs, sustained notes, swells, chords, and cut-and-chop parts — giving you complete creative control over every horn part.
What's in each volume:
