Lenny Dee knows a thing or two about making drums hit hard, and this collection is a proper treasure trove for anyone who enjoys getting their hands dirty with drum programming and sound design. There's a huge variety of snares here, from raw analogue hits and classic drum machine sounds to more unusual textures, rimshots and percussion layers. What makes this pack particularly useful is the flexibility. Plenty of sounds with enough character to stand on their own, but also loads of material for layering, distortion and processing into something completely different. For harder DnB, industrial hardcore and crossbreed production, having a decent arsenal of snares to experiment with is essential. This pack certainly delivers on that front.
